The location (13th and the boardwalk) is far enough south to be away from the main boardwalk traffic, but close enough to walk everywhere.
Everything about the place generally met our satisfaction: Considering the ocean was barely 60 degrees, the 75 degree pool was a great alternative to our kids. At the Beach Club, the pool is perched just above the boardwalk over looking the ocean. We soon found out that other than the Flanders and Port-O-Call, the Beach Club was the only place that did not put their pool in the middle of the parking lot. In the end, we were glad we spent the extra money to stay here. Although we were originally surprised by the $349 price tag for an ocean view motel room, we were able to get a 25% discount by mentioning we saw a promotion on their web site. This was my first visit to Ocean City since 1985 (I was 14). My wife and I stayed at the Beach Club with our two boys (5 & 6) for three nights in early July.
